After 10 years of working my way up the governmental ladder, I decided to make the jump into management.  After preparing and distributing my own resume (after all I am a college graduate), I became discouraged.  I sent out quite a few resumes to apply for positions within my own organization and to others, but after six months of trying I only had obtained one interview.
